The mission of the foundation is to benefit Laura's descendants and their families by:
- encouraging self-education and development
- supporting these activities with grants and loans
- recognizing accomplishments with small monetary rewards
- remembering and honoring Laura, the matriarch of our family
Mechanism
- Bounties are small monetary awards meant to incentivize accomplishment of specific goals
- Small grants are modest (up to $50) awards to support the achievement of bounty goals
- Proposals are a means of funding larger projects with grants, loans, or both
